Im Will this is SBMX.
Interview with Jack Fleming
Interview with Dylan Young
Im Will this is SBMX.
SBMX is a Skateboarding and BMX magazine, based in Sheffield. This is our first ever issue, we have tried to bring you a contemporary magazine with a fresh look. Me personally have made this magazine by my self from the pre and post productions, my favourite part of making this issue was the interview with Dylan Young.
I spent the day with him at the bowl, very down to earth person with allot of potential. Jack was another character and he had some interesting ways of how he could ride not using a board.
I hope you like this issue and will keep on reading your issues to come.
I went to meet jack and have check up with him, i asked what his average day is like
I’d say 9 times out of ten I’d go chill with my brother for a bit and beat his arse at Pro evo soccer, but right now he’s putting together his latest edit so I’m usually sat next to him advising on his editing skills etc. Then around 6pm we all jump into someone’s car and go hit up Devy Green for a few hours, usually in the evening time I’ll watch a film, go for a quiet beer somewhere with friends or just chill with my girlfriend.
We go talking about sponsors
Seems like every time I get this question my sponsors have completely changed, anyway, right now I’m riding for Barker Skateboards, DC Shoes and Apparel, Venture trucks, Travel wheels, Nixon watches, Slugger Skate Store, New Era and Object hardware.
And finally, what have you got planned for the near future?
Well I have a couple of trips coming up before Christmas with DC and Barker, then I’m planning on making the big move from Sheffield to London which is quite exciting. Obviously it’s going to be very different from my laid back life I’m used to in The Steel City but I’m really looking forward to it, so next year you’ll be seeing a lot more of me skating around London. To be honest it’s something I should have done a long time ago but hey better late than never.
Interview with Dylan Young
Who is Dylan Young?
Dylan is a 17 year old from Wales, who rides a lil’ and big bike around with his friends.
Where are you from? Where are you heading to?
I am from Aberystwyth, Wales. But I'm now living in Sheffield but I travel around the country racing.
How can people follow you? Snap Chat, Instagram? Myspace?
Snapchat: Dyl_old Instagram: @demo_dylz MySpace? Uhh maybe ride your horse and carriage into the past and try to find it
You seem to be learning new tricks at an alarming rate, how would you describe your style?
I kind of just randomly learn new stuff, I never really go out on purpose to try learn anything. Sometimes I just mess up trying one thing and end up with with a new one.
If you could only watch one video part or edit for the rest of your life, what would it be?
I would watch Garrett Reynolds Deadline section. It's pretty much the only part I re-watch weekly
Do you believe in Aliens?
Hmm not sure, I guess I wouldn't know if there was until I saw one
Describe Donald Trump in one word?
Comb-over
How often do you scare yourself when you go riding?
I try to scare myself anytime I'm filming for something real. If you're not scaring yourself then you're not progressing
Why did you start riding?
My Dad is a downhill rider and he also rides BMX, he still does. Basically I could ride a bike before I could walk. I could do a bunny hop at 5 so ya know.
How much of your life is currently dedicated to riding and what does the other part consists of?
I'd say about 98% of my life is dedicated to riding, the other 2% is checking Instagram haha
Who sponsors you?
I’m now sponsored by Mud Hugger, Loose Riders Uk, DMR Bikes and Red Bull

LO1: Target Audience Profile
Target Audience Profile
Through the research I have done, I can successfully identify that the target demographic for "SBMX".up the gender demographic is approximately 90% males to 10% females, around the ages 16 to 23 years old. They will be living in Sheffield and will be Skaters or "BMXers or be interesting in it. These people can from different back grounds but id say these people belong to the social grades of D, C1 and C2, as they have some disposable income they will spend it on parts and energy drinks.
Typical Audience Member Profile
Aron Faux is 17 years old and lives in Sharrow, Sheffield. He’s at college studying art. Normally when he has free time he will go out on his BMX to OnBoard. Aron falls in into NRS social grade of C2, as he lives at home and his family give him money.

Jack interview
I went to meet jack and have check up with him, i asked what his average day is like
On an average week day for me I’d get up at around 11am, if my girlfriend’s around she’ll make me the nicest egg and bacon sandwich but if she’s not I’ll usually opt for the standard marmite on toast and a cup of tea combination (which I think you just can’t go wrong with). After checking emails and keeping up to date with my sponsors etc. i’ll pop down to James, equipped with a chicken pasty in one hand and a can of coke in the other and have a good old chin wag with James, or maybe sometimes I’ll just sit in there and read the latest copy of sidewalk…
